Yesterday’s Friday evening brought in the Salzburg regional league Two home wins. During the collective strong SV Kuchl cave SAAK 1914 outclassed with 5:0, the reported SV Seekirchen after last week’s bankruptcy with a 2-1 win against the SV Grödig return.

Kuchl defied the initial SAK pressure phase with a double strike
“It wasn’t our day,” noted SAK trainer Roman Wallner. After his Nonntaler had actually come out of the catacombs, the Kuchler made short work: Hübl netted the lead (10th), two minutes Seidl added another – 2:0 (12th). “SAK was pretty strong in the first few minutes. After that we put the pressure on and played well,” Christian Seidl, Kuchl’s sporting director, was able to celebrate a comfortable two-goal advantage at the break.

Kuchler celebrates the highest success of the season
The SVK also pressed the gas pedal in the second 45 minutes. Thanks to double packers Hübl (51st), Temel (64th) and Kraft (85th), the highest win of the season even jumped out at the end of the day. “All the goals were well played. Kudos to the entire team,” said Seidl. Thus, the Tennengauer remained undefeated against the city dwellers in duel number four. Proud record: In the four season duels, the Buck-Elf reaped a proud ten points.

SAK legend Penco resigns
After a total of 42 years of service in the Salzburg lower house, SAK chairman Josef Penco finally said goodbye to football retirement yesterday. “It’s time for me to retire completely,” said the outgoing SAK legend. The 68-year-old began his voluntary work as section leader in Gneis in 1980, only to pull the strings at the blue and yellow for the last 25 years. Penco’s successor is to be presented later today.
Seekirchen defended Sonnenplatz
Meanwhile, SV Seekirchen is returning to winning ways. Barely a week after the 1-2 defeat against Bischofshofen, the Lapkalo crew defeated Grödig 2-1. Abraham (21′) and Ogunlade (85′) set the course for a home win, before Alterdinger made the second serve against Wallerseer, who was decimated at the time, to make up the result (93′) – Eliasch was sent off with the traffic light card in the 86th minute.
