The countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest, which this year will take place in splendid Turin. Artists from 41 countries will participate in the most anticipated musical event of the year. After last year’s exciting victory at home by Måneskin with the song Zitti e Buoni, this year our nation will be represented by Mahmood and Blanco, veterans of the success obtained with the song “Broglie”, winner at the Sanremo 2022 Festival. Achille Lauro will also take part in the event, who will compete for the Republic of San Marino with his “Stripper”. Leading the competition will be Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika.
The Piedmontese capital is already in turmoil: the events related to the music contest – now in its 66th edition – will start today and will continue until May 14, bringing a wave of celebration. The heart of the event will be the Pala Olimpico in Turin, where the semifinal and the final of the event will take place, but around the city there will be shows and concerts, in particular at the Eurovision Village of Parco Valentino, where you can access for free. to follow the live Eurovision Song Contest on two large screens.
The program of the event
But on which days will the musical event take place and, above all, when will the Italian artists Blanco, Mahmood and Achille Lauro compete? Here is the date to mark:
- First semifinal: Tuesday 10 May at 9 pm; on stage there will be the following countries: Albania, Latvia, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Lithuania, Portugal, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Denmark, Denmark, Armenia, Austria, Croatia, Iceland, Greece
- Second semifinal: Thursday 12 May at 9 pm; will perform: Australia, Georgia, Cyprus, Serbia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Republic of San Marino (represented by Achille Lauro), Israel, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, North Macedonia, Sweden, Estonia, Ireland.
- Grand finale: Saturday 14 May at 9 pm; On stage there will be the countries that pass the round to the two semifinals in addition to the Big Five, namely: Italy (represented by Blanco and Mahmood) France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Måneskin’s debut is expected on the evening of May 14th. They will ignite the stage of the Pala Olimpico, presenting their new single “Supermodel” in world premiere live, out on Friday 13 May.
Among the Italian guests there will also be Diodato (who should have participated in Eurovision 2020, canceled due to the pandemic, with the song “Fai Rumore”), who will take the stage on Tuesday 10 May; but also the trio Il Volo and Dardust. There is also great anticipation for the immense Gigliola Cinguetti who will return to perform on May 14th.

It goes without saying that the tickets for the Turin edition of the Eurovision Song Contest finished in record time. Those who have not managed to buy it will be able to follow the three evenings on television. The event will, in fact, be broadcast on Rai1 and live streaming on RaiPlay and on the channel Eurovision YouTube.
Those in Turin will have free access to the Eurovision Village of the Valentino Park to watch the event screen on the maxi.
