Drunk car fell into a creek
timeline
An inebriated Lungau landed in his car in the Lessachbach on Saturday night. The 25-year-old left the road on the right for an unknown reason and fell 100 meters. What followed was a costly rescue, because a power line runs over the accident site.
Shortly before 3 a.m., the 25-year-old driver veered off the Lessacher Landesstrasse to the right. The car touched two traffic pegs, was catapulted over the guard rail and landed in a creek bed after 100 meters. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle himself. He was slightly injured. The police carried out an alcohol test, which quickly revealed 1.8 per thousand.
Elaborate salvage due to power lines
A power line crosses the state road at the scene of the accident. Therefore, a rescue with the large crane of the rescue vehicle of the fire brigade was not possible. As an alternative, another crane from a well-known construction company was used. For safety reasons, the power line has been temporarily shut down. Around 8:00 a.m., the firefighters from Lessach and Tamsweg recovered the accident car.
