The president Riziero Santi designated by Upi at the national table of tourism policies and Pnrr
The president of the Province of Rimini, Riziero Santi, has been designated by the Union of Italian Provinces (UPI) as its representative at the national table of tourism policies and PNRR, set up by the Ministry of Tourism. “I welcome this appointment with satisfaction and pride – declares the president of the Province Riziero Santi – and I thank UPI for the trust, and in particular its president, Michele De Pascale, who indicated me for this important role. As is well known, the Provinces have lost their competences in tourism with the 2014 reform, but it is clear that a large area representation in this table that Minister Garavaglia has set up, a voice that speaks for everyone, including small municipalities above all, is makes it absolutely necessary and in this sense the Province, which as I like to say is the House of Commons, is undoubtedly the most pertinent subject due to its institutional nature and its authority. The fact that the president of a Province such as Rimini, whose tourist vocation is recognized all over the world, has been designated to this table has an obvious meaning, which if on the one hand confirms the importance of the instrument desired by the minister, on the other hand, it attributes great responsibility to the Province of Rimini, and to me who represent it. There are 2.4 billion euros allocated to investment projects in the ‘Tourism and Culture’ mission of the PNRR. With these investments we must increase the competitive capacity of our companies and promote a tourism offer that is increasingly based on environmental sustainability, on innovation and digitalization of services. We have the opportunity to improve our accommodation facilities and all related services, to support credit and tax incentives in the tourism sector, for the benefit of our small and medium-sized enterprises. These are the themes and strategies that we shared with the local system in the Pact for Work and Climate and, with that same spirit of listening, collaboration and concreteness, we must seize for this great opportunity and I immediately put myself at the service of the territory. . ”
