Lisbon approves measures to support Ukrainian refugees
The Lisbon City Council (CML) deprived this city, Friday, in meeting a set of measures with the aim of improving the reception of refugees from Ukraine.
The first job proposed by the councilor for Human and Social Rights, Laurinda Alves, covered eight areas, housing, education, mobility, culture, science and social support – and was unanimously approved by Lisbon. The package of measures approved, called Vsi Tut – Everyone Here, Also a financial contract of a collaboration agreement with the Association of Ukrainians Portugal and a financial support, in the amount of 320 thousand euros, until 2023, includes both votes against the approved PCP.
At the meeting of the Private Chamber this Friday, two additions to the proposals of the city executive were approved, and by the sole councilor of the Bloco Beatriz Gomes Dias. In a statement, the conquered blocks congratulate themselves on the approval of the measures, since they consider that “the program proposed by Carlos Moedas is still insufficient in view of the needs of reception and integration”.
