Letter to the Editor – Village Center Development Triesenberg – Clarifications
We do not want to fill the newspapers with letters to the editor before the vote on May 22, 2022 on an expansion of the Triesenberg village center. Nevertheless, it is important to us to deny and clarify a few untruths and allegations published by critics. We hope that in the future we will stick to the facts.
Apartments for the elderly or generations were and still are an important topic for the municipal council. Anyone listening to us has noticed that this topic is part of the further development of our community. For various reasons such as B. no longer met legal requirements and various security problems, but the first priority of further development was placed on local supply. We would like to maintain the village shop and the basic medical care in our community and secure it for future generations. The same gilded for the Walser Museum. Our goal is to promote Walser culture, present it in a more interesting way and make it accessible to everyone. Doing one thing, not neglecting the other – other important topics will also be addressed in the near future, are just not part of this project.
We are aware that such a large project cannot completely cover all the needs of our population. But that won’t be another project. We all want to go in the same direction, we want to keep a village shop and basic medical care in our community as well as the Walser culture in the best possible way. Let’s take this first step in this direction together – for us and for the next generations.
