Too Good To Go launches Chefs Against Food Waste campaign
Star chefs Antonio Colaianni, Pascal Steffen and Serge Labrosse are working together with Too Good To Go to combat food waste. As part of a two-week campaign, the star chefs created zero-waste recipes that can easily be made at home.

More than a third of all food is wasted. According to a study by Danone and Too Good To Go, around 78 percent of all Swiss people surveyed consider this high value to be problematic or very problematic. In addition to the importance of their own role, they expressly see responsibility in the catering trade, among other things. According to the Federal Office for the Environment, more than 2.8 million tons of food waste are generated in Switzerland every year.
Star chefs against food waste
Together with Too Good To Go, the three star chefs Antonio Colaianni, Pascal Steffen and Serge Labrosse are taking a stand against food waste. As part of a two-week campaign, the chefs at the restaurants Ornellaia Zurich, Roots Basel and La Chaumière Geneva created simple zero-waste recipes to try at home.
This should give private households an idea of how easy it is to prepare a delicious meal from leftover food. “With the campaign, the Swiss population is raising even more awareness of the topic of food waste, because only together can we get closer to a planet without food waste,” explains Alina Swirski, Country Manager at Too Good To Go Switzerland.
Win gourmet experience
A competition was also launched in cooperation with Switzerland Tourism (ST). Until mid-May, all users of the Too Good To Go app who have saved at least two meals from one of the more than 5,200 partner establishments during this period have the chance to have a dinner for two in these three Michelin restaurants. Restaurants including an overnight stay in a hotel that has been awarded the Swisstainable label.
In addition, app users can reserve a gourmet surprise package for CHF 4.90 from May 11th to 13th. During this period, a limited number of items per starred chef will be available each day in Zurich, Basel and Geneva.
