According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO, about one in ten people in the world breathe polluted air.
The main effects of air pollutants on health, whether at the level of health and cardiovascular devices, but also body functions. The mechanisms of the physical and social person are dependent on the time of exposure to the concentration and vulnerability of each one, in their biological and social factors.
The pollutants with the greatest influence on human health are microparticles, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. The health effects can be reflected in the short and medium term.

Concerned as PM particles, as finer and accidents can occur, as they infiltrate the risks of diseases and the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of cerebrovascular diseases, cardiac injuries, cardiac infections, cancer, among other fatal diseases.
Of the more than 50 sites analyzed, fifteen peaks in Portugal that exceed the level of inhalable finance (PM2.5). World Health Organization (WHO) determines that the value of particles should not exceed 10 micrograms per cubic meter of air.
