Swimming, Perugia’s Libertas Rari Nantes “flies” to San Marino: second place for teams
Exciting first weekend in May for Libertas Rari Nantes Perugia who, at the 11th Squalo Blu meeting, at the Olympic swimming pool in Serravalle di San Marino, obtained a very satisfying second place in the general classification of the company, winning 458 points.
For the first time, after two unusual and difficult years to say the least, Libertas Rari Nantes Perugia played three intense days of competitions in which they were able to field the entire team group, from the neo-agonist girls of 2013 to the veterans of 2004, demonstrating interesting continuity in the company’s project and great present and future ambitions.
Excellent performances by the group of Beginners B and A, in which many participants had their first swimming experience outside the region and the first competition in the 50-meter Olympic pool. The amount of medals won and finals won makes the company proud and repays all the sacrifices made up to now by athletes, coaches and parents.
Important and never banal confirmations also from the Category group which, in addition to great encouragement and team spirit during the last afternoon of the finals, obtained placings and results of absolute value: above all, mention of merit for Tommaso Carta, born in 2008, who at the first available opportunity he won two passes in the 50 and 100 freestyle races for the Italian Summer Championships of the Category.
The boys, moreover, competed supported by a fair presence of participants from the finally parental component, to which, as always, thanks are renewed for the trust and daily collaboration shown.
The congratulations of the president Paolo Riccini Ricci and the sports director for the swimming sector, Massimo Bianchi, go to the coaches Serena Bianchi, Stefano Acciarri, Alessia Gobbi and Alessio Bianchi for the work done so far and wish them an equally satisfying end to the season. .
