Coronavirus and masks, is everyone free in Genoa?
Genoa – A sort of generalized “free all” in spite of the calls for precautions and compliance with the most elementary rules of common sense. It is the effect that seems to have had, in the Ligurian capital as elsewhere, the end of the obligation of the mask outdoors even if it persists where there are gatherings.
In fact, there are many reports of groups of tourists, visiting the city, who do not respect the rules of self-protection and in the almost total absence of checks and sanctions.
The recent provisions provide for the possibility (not the prohibition) not to use the mask outdoors and in many shops and closed spaces but do not authorize not to use it where the concentration of people and small spaces do not guarantee adequate spacing between the people.
Yet, even in the morning, it was enough to walk through the streets of the city center to witness a scene that, in other times, made the police intervene in this with heavy penalties.
Vaccination campaigns and the apparent “weakening” of the virus are causing a considerable decline in infections and hospitalizations but the number of deaths remains high and the number of people admitted to ICU in hospitals is anything but reassuring.
For this reason for having revoked many of their recommendations outside of many Italians – health officials have recommended the use of the mask even outside the many Italians of the law.
An “ambiguous” message that seems to have been received in the wrong way.
