Ukraine has already proven its compliance with EU standards
Prior to its activities and aspirations, Ukraine was already part of the European family, the executor of a large number of obligations to implement EU rights in national legislation under the Association Agreement with the EU.

She noted that the EU has already assessed the Ukrainian market, legislation and business in the fields of digital technologies, economy, transport and energy, as well as removed trade barriers and announced an ambitious climate agenda.
“This is what we have in mind when we talk about the accelerated procedure, because we already have significant experience and a long-term relationship,” said Stefanishina.
She also drew attention to the fact that in Ukraine during the war the government, the state banking and financial sectors were fully functioning, but no country has ever been at war. This is the fact that in March Ukraine joined the European energy network ENTSO-E.
“It was unprecedented, within 24 hours we managed to pass all the tests that were conducted during the shelling and bombing,” – said Stefanishina.
As reported, the President of the European Council Michel said that during a visit to Kyiv until April 20, the European Commission will announce the first conclusions on the candidate status in Ukraine by the end of June, after which the issue will be on the agenda of the European Council.
Ukraine plans to complete work by the end of the week on another participant in the questionnaire on assessments of Ukrainian legislation on EU law to obtain candidate status.
