the fundamental fuel for Portugal and Europe
The “Portuguese Energy Bill 2021”, a document published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) at the end of last April, shows that Portugal, despite having imported 0.8% less of the selected volume in 2021 2020, I pay 70% more of the gas expenses with a total cost of 1.73 billion euros. Overall, Portugal’s energy import balance in 2021 is the highest in the last seven years, mainly reflecting the increase in international prices of energy products (crude and refined oil, natural gas, electricity and coal).
Already in 2022, with the War in Ukraine and all that it represents for the energy market (and not only), a perspective must be cautious and, therefore, it is increasingly the time to make the future today, betting on happening. The solution for your efficiency, more efficient, national using efficiency, more efficient and cleaner, and more efficient and, therefore, more efficient for the country as companies and for citizens.
In the European Union Energy week, the need to ensure that the members of the Union are needed and the need for cooperation between countries, it is evident that, today, a renewable energy agenda is, more choice, an urgent need. This has challenges to be taken seriously and the market to evaluate renewable gases, such as biomethane and, green, as alternatives to effect the efficiency of an industry and mobility, to represent an alternative to an immediate energy efficiency energy transition that the country needs.
The recent past has invested significantly in the electricity sector and today it is clear that the electricity sector is also extremely dependent on gas, which replaces coal and oil. The reality comes more recently, the role of gas and how irreplaceable the European energy matrix is and the agents of the gas sector can contribute to making it green, with an endogenous production, necessary for the energy evidence of Portugal and Europe.
As considerable efficiencies, renewable gases allow, at the level of the economy of companies, to change the paradigm of national economy of a more economical level of companies and cost reduction also at the level of economy of companies, at the level of economy of companies and cost reduction with better results across the entire scale.
Renewable mobility, such as the use of ethanol and hydrogen, can play a decisive role in organic matter of organic origin from the biomass of gas transformation, for the use of residues in organic matter of transformation of gases, which can be developed in several usage circulars.
Processes that are born from innovation, research and the company of companies that come to develop, also doing their part in the construction of solutions that they already have, and that can have a much more positive impact on the creation of economy and on the budgets of families . Continuing to invest in innovation and development is, without a doubt, an unquestionable variable for the success of the path.
Finally, the need to empower Portugal with the possibility of exporting energy and increasing access to gas. The third energy interconnection between Spain and France, defended again today by Portugal at the extraordinary meeting of Energy Ministers of the European Union, has long been seen as a possibility to reduce prices. Today this becomes even more interconnections mean more evident in the market and better competitive conditions.
