Dampener for the Generali Union Innsbruck in the 22nd round of the Tirol Liga – a clear 1:5 defeat at FC Volders, which climbs to twelfth place in the table. An absolutely unusual course of play between the Völser SV and the SPG Prutz/Serfaus. Völs could have made everything clear, but the 4-0 didn’t work out, then the home team became careless and conceded three more goals in the end. In the end a 3:3 and two points from Völs.
A draw that felt like a win!
Alexander Kregar, coach SPG Prutz/Serfaus: “There was a very curious game to be seen at the sports field in Völs. We started quite well, our first goal was denied in the 10th minute. There could have been a penalty in the 15th minute – a highly questionable decision from my point of view. Then the unfortunate 0:1 in the 30th minute by Marco Brindlinger and my team really broke. It’s going into the break and it’s not going well for my team. 2:0 for Völs in the 53rd minute through Franz Gruber, 3:0 through Francesco Riehle ten minutes later. The 4:0 or even the 5:0 hung in the air. But Völs felt too safe afterwards. Florian Mark’s 1:3 in the 78th minute gave us hope again, we were always more dangerous. A goalkeeper error by Völs, who is actually a good goalie, and in the 88th minute Oran Yilmaz scored the goal. In added time, Florian Mark equalized to make it 3:3 with a second goal – a draw that felt like a win!”

Volders clearly better than Union Innsbruck
Michael Streiter, coach FC Volders: “In the first half we were actually the eleven and were able to take the lead in the 30th minute through Daniel Jäger, we also had the 2-0 at our feet. With the break whistle but then the 1:1 by Stefan Milenkovic. In the second half we were incredibly present and were able to put our weaknesses aside in front of the opponent’s goal. Fabio Wurzer quickly gave us a 2-1 lead in the 48th minute, Stefan Mayr in the 66th and Dominic Hochmuth – six minutes later – made everything clear. The 5:1 in the 82nd minute by Yoni Mpayi Ngamiteni! Deserved success – even at this altitude!”
