First Eurovision “Meet & Greet” with the press in Turin for Achille Lauro, the artist representing the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Achille Lauroafter the first test at the Pala Alpitour in Turin in view of his performance in the second semifinal of theEurovision Song Contest 2022claimed a brief meeting with the press.
Also present yours director Angelo Calculli and the head of the San Marino delegation to Eurovision, Alessandro Capicchioni.
Here is how the Roman singer-songwriter, competing at the Esc 2022 for San Marino, responded to the questions of the journalists during the meeting moderated by Carolina Di Domenico, Italian TV presenter, radio host and actress.
360 ° SINGER AND MUSIC CREATOR – “In general, my job is not only that of a singer but also that of a 360-degree music creator that also spans an artistic world. For years in Italy I have been proposing this type of performance with my team to try to be at least unique. I feel lucky because I am working with several fashion houses: for example, I have a very solid relationship with the creative director of Gucci, with whom I often compare myself. He always manages to create our world, with our identity, starting from the ideas I bring to the table “.
UNIQUE STYLE – “Everyone in Italy knows where I started from and how long I’ve been bringing these performances to the stages. I know the Maneskins, but I think I stood out for my unique style. Sanremo and Eurovision are two different events: in Sanremo, for example, there are no public rehearsals. With what my team and I did in Sanremo, that is bringing controversial and very original performances on stage, we were precursors and participants of a new Italian wave. My team and I will try to bring something of our own and different. The only thing that matters is being different, especially for new artists and for young people who approach the world of music. The biggest compliment is being unique and seeing something of your own. It is not up to me to say whether or not it is avant-garde, but my team and I are working towards something that has never been seen before ”.
EUROVISION? A GREAT OPPORTUNITY – “Not these events as a competition, it is more and more a great opportunity to confront ourselves with something big and that we make a wider audience. In 2018 I have 150 concert dates with the team in Italy, but before I played in the garage as a boy and I was played in an artists’ commune. My career, little by little, has grown and I have come to perform in front of thousands and thousands of people. My team and I feel comfortable on stage ”.
STRIPPER – “I could choose from a lot of my songs, but choosing ‘Stripper’ decided on something that was strong on the Eurovision stage. ‘Stripper’ is a manifesto of freedom, a great incitement to be free as it should be ”.
INFLUENCED BY ELVIS – “Each of us is the result of a whole series of experiences and music listened to. We are our past. Surely Elvis Presley has definitely improved me ”.
TRIBUTE TO DITA VON TEESE – “Dita von Teese and her world of burlesque fascinate me because they are interesting”.
TURIN – “I have performed many times in Turin, a city I know well and in which I feel comfortable”.
THE FUTURE – “After Eurovision, a mega concert tour across Italy awaits us”.
Thursday 5th May the interpretation of “Stripper” is expected to one new rehearsal on the stage of the Pala Alpitour in Turin (14.45-15.05) and al second meeting with journalists present in the Piedmontese capital or connected remotely (15.55-16.15).
A week later (May 12)instead, Lauro will compete in the second semifinal to qualify for the final night of the Esc 2022, scheduled for May 14th.
