FCA podcast: New episode “four chain”: Does FCA soon have two reasons to celebrate despite the bankruptcy in Cologne?
The Cologne play equipment for frustration unit. Nevertheless: In our podcast we greet star guest and say why there is perhaps a double reason to be happy.
You had that with you FC Augsburg presented completely differently: In the home game against 1. FC Köln, the final relegation should actually be bagged. Instead of a party with the fans, there was plenty of frustration: the team went down 1: 4 against the billy goat team. In our FCA podcast “Four Chain” there is still one reason to celebrate this time: This time it’s a guest Gregory Peter Schmitzformer editor-in-chief of Augsburg General and well-known 1.FC Cologne fan.
Together with our editors Johannes Graf, Robert Götz and Florian Eisele, he talks about how he experienced the game – and why Effzeh’s season this season is going in a completely different direction than the sports editors predicted at the beginning of the season. Our guest can also fill in the current title for the “If this game were a song” section.
It is also about why the bankruptcy against Cologne unfortunately fits all too well into a season that is characterized by constant setbacks – and why FCA urgently needs a critical inventory, especially with regard to the coming season.
FCA could soon have two reasons to celebrate
With a six-point lead with two games to go, it seems illusory that FCA could find themselves in trouble again this season. Ideally, FC Augsburg can then not only celebrate relegation in the Bundesliga, but soon also a title: After winning their season, the A youth are in the semi-finals of the German championship. In 1993, FCA won the title for the only time so far. The current generation gives hope that there will soon be more players from their own youth in the Bundesliga squad.
Why FCA apparently overslept a bit when scouting their opponents, how our guest Gregor Peter Schmitz analyzes the situation, and why the Augsburg fans drew positive attention to themselves – all of this can be found out in the current episode of the “four chain”. Enjoy listening!
