FC Bayern Munich: Lothar Matthäus does not rule out the sale of Leroy-Sané – FC BAYERN MUNICH
“No club in the world can replace its best team one-to-one. But the drop in quality must not be so blatant.”
Lothar Matthäus (61) expects FC Bayern to strengthen the squad and sees the second row as too weak, especially if some top players are absent.
Fresh forces are needed. Matthäus expects players like Bouna Sarr (30), Marc Roca (25), Marcel Sabitzer (28) and Corentin Tolisso )27) to be eliminated. Surprising: Even with a star, he can surprisingly imagine a farewell.
In his Sky column, the 1990 world champion writes: “You just can’t be satisfied with Sané at the moment. I was so happy when Sané finally got the curve, was celebrated and celebrated football. Unfortunately, for weeks now he’s been at the point again where you don’t know what’s actually going on with him. A sale wouldn’t surprise me.”

Matthäus sees it in a similar way with Serge Gnabry (26), even if he says clearly: “In my opinion, Gnabry regularly delivers good performances. I like both players very much, but I’m not sure if we’ll see them both in Munich for long.” Gnabry’s contract expires in 2023, Sané still has a contract until 2025.
And storm star Robert Lewandowski? Matthew assumes he won’t be allowed to go this summer. But: “If in the end only the price was raised and Robert should go, I’m very excited to see who will be presented as the successor.”
The transfer summer at Bayern could be a very exciting one. So far there has only been one departure (Süle to BVB), and no reinforcements have yet been made.
Was there a warning before the trip?
Exciting suspicion about Bavaria’s Ibiza trip!
