HOW TO PERFORM HOLIDAY PRAYER?
Eid prayers are performed in congregation. When the time for prayer comes, you make intention for Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adhan, without the adhan or iqama. The congregation will likewise perform the Eid prayer.
1. RECAT:
The imam says “Allahu akbar” and ties the ties. Similarly, the congregation utters takbir and uses its ties. The imam and the congregation recite the “Subhanake” prayer among them. Then the Imam and the congregation say “Allahu Akbar” and say takbir, with the hands raised up to the level of the ears and side by side. In the same way, another takbir is said by saying “Allahu Akbar” and your hands are together again. Takbir is said for the third time by saying “Allahu Akbar” and this time with the hands. It will be enough to say “subhanallahi’-azim” three times between takbirs. After that, the congregation is silent and waits. The imam recites the secret audhu-basmala, recites the Fatiha and the zamm-i surah aloud, then bows and prostrates and stands for the second rak’ah.
2 RECAT:
In the second rak’ah, the imam secretly recites the “Fatiha” and “zamm-i surah” aloud. Then the imam and the congregation say takbir “Allahu Akbar”, with the hands raised up to the level of the ears from side to side. Then, another takbir is made by saying “Allahu Akbar” in the same way. Then another takbir is said in the same way and the hands are waved to the side. In the second rak’ah, as in the first rak’ah, it will be enough to say “subhanallahi’l-azim” three times between takbirs. After the third takbir, bowing is said by saying “Allahu Akbar”. As in this first rakat, bowing and prostrations are completed. Sitting after the second prostration. The prayers “Tahiyyât”, “Salli”, “Bârik”, “Rabbenâ atinâ” and “Rabbena’ğfirlî” are read. Salam to the right and left is exited from the prayer.
Accordingly, if the Eid prayer is added to it in two rak’ahs and three more takbirs are added compared to other prayers, it is called “zawaid takbirs”. It is wajib to utter these takbirs.
According to the Shafii madhhab, seven in the first rak’ah and five in the second rak’ah are taken in both rak’ahs, before the Fatiha Surah.
After the salutation, the imam-hatip delivers a sermon to the pulpit. This khutbah takes place after the Friday sermon. The sermon is started by saying “Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illallahu vellahu akbar, Allahu akbar wa lillahi’l-hamd”. The congregation also participates in takbir.
