Tourism Forum “Vê Portugal” extended to four days and includes a business grant — DNOTICIAS.PT
The edition of the “Vê Portugal” Tourism Forum was extended to four days, in Tomar, between June 6th and 9th, including the holding of a business exchange, according to a statement released today.
This forum is “an annual initiative of Turismo Centro de Portugal, which succeeds national and international tourism annually for a comprehensive discussion and the future of domestic tourism. Tomar a Viseu, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria, Guarda, Castelo Branco and Caldas da Rainha , the cities in the region that host the previous ones”, and this year, the central theme of the event is “The Post-Covid-19 Era and Tourism: Eyes Set in the Future”, according to the note.
In the same statement, the organization indicated that “the main change in this year’s edition of “Vê Portugal” is the increase in the duration of the event, which becomes four days. and contacts and a guided tour of the territory”.
According to the president of Turismo Centro de Portugal (TCP), Pedro Machado, “one of the great objectives of holding this forum is that it be a milestone in the process of reforming tourism in Portugal”.
“The most recent data that we are within the market, which are not in the DNA of this forum, were fundamental in this recovery, they were packaged that allow mitigating the negative effects of the pandemic on the activity”, he highlighted.
“Then, with this event, we approached the themes of current autonomy, such as the effects of autonomy, war or the alleged crisis of human resources in the sector of regional tourism entities”, added Pedro Machado.
In turn, Jorge Loureiro commission, quoted in the same note, stressed that the forum will discuss, among other issues, human resources tourism in the TCP sector. “It is a matter of concern that is increasing the difficulty in responding to the sector.
