San Marino hosts the conference “The victims of hatred”
The Republic of San Marino tomorrow, at the Titano Theater and starting at 9.45 am, will host the conference on “The victims of hatred”, organized by the Observatory for Security against discriminatory acts (OSCAD) of the Ministry of Interior of the Italian Republic, in synergy with the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs and the Command of the Gendarmerie Corps.
With the aim of keeping attention on the particular phenomenon, the conference wants to testify the commitment of the police forces to protect the most vulnerabilities of society in an increasingly effective way. This conference will also favor a debate to promote the fight against all forms of hatred involving politics, institutions, local authorities, educational agencies, the world of associations and the private sector.
The initiative, strongly desired by the President of OSCAD Prefect Vittorio Rizzi, will be moderated by the VQ of the State Police Francesca Capaldo, Director of the OSCAD Secretariat and by the journalist and General Director of San Marino RTV Ludovico di Meo.
To open the conference will be the projection of a video of Liliana Segre, senator for life, victim who survived the Shoah, exceptional testimonial of the phenomenon linked to hate crimes and who recently obtained honoraria from the Republic of San Marino.
Numerous testimonies are expected during the conference, including that of the representative of the Arcigay of Rimini Gabriel Corbelli, of the PD of the State Police Elisabetta Mancini, of the journalist Brahin Maarad and of the girls of the Afghan football team, who arrived in Italy thanks to the humanitarian corridor managed by COSPE.
The President of the UN CSD Commission on Disability of San Marino Dr. Patrizia Gallo, the President of the AttivaMente Mirko Tomassoni association, the Major Marshal of the Carabinieri Salvatore Buscarino, who will speak at the panel dedicated to disability, the Dean of the San Marino middle school Remo Massari, the ISS educator Elena Malpeli and the Commander of the Gendarmerie Corps, Colonel Maurizio Faraone, the latter of whom will speak on bullying and cyberbullying.
It is expected from the highest authorities of the Republic of San Marino and a representation of the San Marino schools.
