Pisa, anesthetist dies at 42
The doctor leaves her husband and a young son. The degree, the specialization, the profession: that’s who she was
Pisa. Those close to her knew it would happen.
But it’s always too early to leave when you’re 42 and have a life ahead. And the awareness of an epilogue, which one always hopes to postpone as a kick to misfortune or to mislead as a sudden obstacle, does not ease the pain of loss.
The disease did not discount the doctor Nadia Cataniaoriginally from Agrigento, who died at the end of a battle fought for years, between ups and downs, as anyone who has had or is experiencing the misfortune of encountering the most treacherous neoplasms in a friend or relative knows.
After graduating in her city, Nadia moved to Pisa where she graduated in Medicine and where she obtained a specialization in anesthesia, spending days and nights at the Cisanello hospital.
After a visit to ASL Toscana Nord Ovest and a stay at the Lucca hospital, for years she had worked as a freelancer. From September 2020 she has joined the INPS of Lucca.
Having obtained her degree, as happens to many non-resident students, she had settled in Pisa definitively. This is where she met her future husbandMarco Baldaccison of the doctor Laura Trivella.
Health care for others as a sign of destiny in the life of the anesthesiologist who left his city to study and build a life, not only professional, in Tuscany.
The affections were not lacking in the existence of the doctor who loved a life that was taken from her with the brutality of the disease.
The last farewell to the anesthetist was brought yesterday to Pisa, the city that had adopted him and where he lived with his husband and son, Jacopo.
