The building, which has been nominated for and won a number of awards for its design, has the same appearance now as when it was a market hall, except that it is two meters higher. Another significant difference is the content that has been converted into a paddle hall with six paddle courts and a restaurant. Sustainability and recycling have been guiding principles throughout the project. The fittings and all other material have been reused, recycled and sold.

The project and the rebuilding of the building has aroused great curiosity and there have been many visits and questions to the project manager along the way. The building’s roof system alone required around a thousand thorns and storage, which ensured that all parts came in the correct order during the renovation.
