Cars: Chiodi-Gennari crew wins 14th Ecorally San Marino – Sport

(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 27 – The 14th Ecorally San Marino, road regularity competition reserved for low environmental impact vehicles, this year dedicated to World Earth Day ended with the award ceremony.

The ecological vehicles traveled 125 kilometers along the most evocative roads of the Republic of Titano, with a trip to Italian territory. The competitors, equipped with Road Book, the special paper navigator used in regularity races, underwent special pressure switch tests.

“The fourteenth edition – explains Ennio Morri of the San Marino Racing Organization, the sports club that has been organizing the event for 15 years – took place for the first time in the 29th San Marino Revival, a race reserved for historic cars, a past combination, present and future of the automobile, giving life to the Green San Marino Revival. The winners compete for the Aci-Sport Green Challenge Cup 2022, which kicks off with the 14th Ecorally San Marino, the first scheduled race of the year ” .

The competing cars started one minute away from each other from the Multieventi Sport Domus in Serravalle (RSM) and passed through various castles of the Titano. At the two half-stages, the vehicles competing in the Ecorally crossed the finish line at the end of the race at the San Marino Holiday Center, ending in the street of San Michele. The crew Roberto Chiodi – Lorenzo Gennari in an LPG Lancia Y won the highest step of the podium, thus winning the 14th Ecorally San Marino, a race included in the Green San Marino Revival event. In second place the crew Andrea Cajani – Valentina Pitacco, competing with an electric Opel Corsa; the podium was completed by the Polish-Canadian crew Lucasz Nytko – Artur Najder in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. The Japancar car dealership in Rimini with the Pasini – Fazzoli crew, who climbed the dedicated rankings aboard a Suzuki Swift 12 Hybrid, won the special “Green Concessionary – Year 2022” Trophy.
