“You are the force that moves Belarus forward!” Human Rights Center “Vesna” is 26 years old
April 26 is the 26th anniversary of the Human Rights Center “Vesna”. It was on this day, after the forceful dispersal of the Chernobyl Way in 1996, that caring activists united so that the girls and their families were detained.
Since then, Viasna has become one of the human rights organizations in Belarus, whose activities were aimed at assisting law enforcement agencies and protecting human rights locally and locally. Over these 26 years, Viasna has been growing qualitatively and preserving the rights of Belarusians, despite harsh repression and pressure from the regime.
