Ukraine calls on UN and Red Cross to help provide rubber corridor from Mariupol
“Russia’s atrocities in Mariupol are appalling. “Today, Russia has achieved dozens of air strikes at the Azovstal metallurgical plant, which remains a refuge for many Mariupol residents,” the report said.
The Ministry also informed that dozens of civilians were injured, blocked under the rubble and in urgent need of treatment and evacuation.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Russia is disrupting all needs aimed at creating safe and secure humanitarian corridors for humanitarian assistance and evacuation. Moscow treats people at the Azovstal metallurgical plant hostage.
The Foreign Ministry also drew attention to the filtration camps where Russia continues to send Mariupol residents before illegal movement and deportation on its territory: “This is reminiscent of the tactics used by the Nazis during World War II.”
“These war crimes must be stopped. We call on the UN and the ICRC to ensure a safe humanitarian corridor from Mariupol. We need the world to act now. Help us save people’s lives! ”The Ministry said.
