OM sale: “That’s it, it’s done. Marseille is sold »
Announced last June, the sale of Olympique de Marseille has still not been formalized by the Marseille team but would already be recorded behind the scenes.
Since his arrival at the head of Olympique de Marseille, Frank McCourt has experienced ups and downs, real roller coasters which bring him, this season, to the gates of the Champions League with a larger squad than his last years. A return to the front of the stage explained by Thibaud Vézirian in his last intervention this Sunday on his Youtube channel. The American businessman would have commissioned Pablo Longoria to put the Olympian team in its place, in Europe, with a stable and attractive group in order to approve a sale which would already be recorded behind the scenes.
“Why did you hear about the sale? Because that’s it, it’s made its way and it’s talked about right at home (the supporters, editor’s note), and not just in the business and football worlds. This is confirmed everywhere. (…) Motus and tight mouth regarding the formalization, I want to celebrate it with you and it will be cool to do that. I spoiled you by saying that OM was sold, I was right, now I don’t spoil you on the rest. They do their show and their storytelling. (…) Above all, I don’t want to spoil the spectacle of the announcement for them, for them to do all this. It’s normal, it’s called the business world. Me, I am a journalist and I give information, they keep their business and their duty of reserve on what is not official. As politicians say, anything that is not public does not exist. So the reality is that. On the other hand saw it for all sales: Paris FC, Nice, PSG. Everything must be denied until the day when you are told that in fact it was true. It’s the system that’s like that, there’s nothing to be surprised about.”
