Gallerie d’Italia, Giuseppe Iannotti at the helm of restaurants in Naples
Intesa Sanpaolo assigned the management of the catering spaces of the Galleries of Italy a Turin And Naples. In the new museum of Turin, in Piazza San Carlo, will be the Costardi brothers; will be in the new Naples office in via Toledo Giuseppe Iannotti. The opening of the catering section, to complete the cultural offer, is scheduled for autumn 2022, while the two museums will open to the public as announced on May 17 in Turin and May 21 in Naples.
In Turin the chefs will be protagonists F.lli Costardithe Piedmontese brothers, masters of risotto, former owners of the Christian & Manuel restaurant in Vercelli, while in Naples he will lead the chef Giuseppe Iannotti, born in Campania in 1982, already owner of the 2 Michelin star restaurant Cresios in Telese Terme. Young chefs on the rise, attentive to the excellence of their respective territories and to the care of the service.
In line with the spirit of the Intesa Sanpaolo Culture Project and with the identity of the new museums, the restaurant offer will have strong territorial features but with a constant search for originality, new studies, exploration of the roots of languages. The gastronomic proposals will be suitable for a heterogeneous audience and designed to accompany the visitor to the museums throughout the day, with a strong reference to local tradition reinterpreted by the chefs specifically for the Gallerie d’Italia.
In Naples, it will be the gastronomic proposal led by the starred Giuseppe Iannotti, who stands out for his innovative dishes that tell the world and the excellence of Campania even in a single course. On the ground floor, with entrance from via Toledo, the cafeteria and the “Luminist” bistro with 50 seats, will be open from the end of July, seven days a week, with a catering format that includes fish in all its many forms, as well as classic recipes of the Neapolitan tradition. At the last piano, on the wonderful terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples and on the Charterhouse of San Martinothere will be the lounge bar and the fine dining restaurant with two tasting itineraries with dishes to choose from a la carte.
In Turin, the restaurant space of the new Gallerie d’Italia will be developed in the area of the historic Caffè San Carlo, a city reference point, with 120 seats between inside and outside and will be guided by the creative flair of the two brothers who will give the Piedmontese tradition a contemporary twist. The Caffè San Carlo cafeteria and bistro aims to become a landmark of Turin respecting the history of the city and the place with a touch of modernity. Developing with internal and external dehors, directly overlooking Piazza San Carlo and in the internal cloister of the open-air museum, the Caffè San Carlo will be the ideal space to experience the heart of the city at all times of the day as well as the fine dining restaurant. which will also be open seven days a week.
