A Milan midfielder in Longoria’s sights?
Four days from the end, Olympique de Marseille is second in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats championship and is playing its Conference League semi-final. Ideally placed to finish in the Champions League, Marseille will have to support each other this summer to have a competitive team next year. No doubt already at work, Pablo Longoria would be eyeing a Serie A midfielder if we were to believe the Italian press.
A few days before the end of the 2021/2022 championship, OM are second in the French championship with 6 points ahead of Rennes and Monaco, their main pursuers. Everything will therefore be decided during the next two days of the championship to ensure a second place synonymous with direct qualification in the Champions League.

A place on the podium which could undoubtedly allow Olympians to achieve an ambitious transfer window with Pablo Longoria at the helm. The latter will undoubtedly have to start by recruiting a midfielder, likely to replace Boubacar Kamara, who will leave the club a priori, free. While many rumors are flourishing about the potential successor of the Marseille “minot”, a new track has just appeared. Indeed, if we are to believe the Italian media calciostyle, the president of OM would benefit from an AC Milan midfielder: Rade Krunic:
“OM coach Sampaoli has a soft spot for Tiemoue Bakayoko and has asked to consider the possibility. He is also interested in Rade Krunic. The Rossoneri leaders took note of this interest and opened the door to a discussion for Bakayoko. While for Krunic the door is discovered, unless Marseille does not present an offer of around 10 million. ” Source : Calciostyle
Krunic accompanied by a former Chelsea player?
Krunic might not be the only Milan player to make it to Marseille. Tiémoué Bakayoko could also land on the Canebière this summer. A rumor that had already been mentioned in one of our shows last week, our consultant Jean-Charles De Bono had clearly validated this lead:
“I really like Bakayoko, he’s an impact player, he’s a big presence. If Kamara leaves it’s a good acquisition, he needs to relaunch (…) If he comes to Olympique de Marseille, he will have no difficulty adapting, he knows Ligue 1, he would come to a club who plays the Champions League, to replace Kamara it would be perfect. Athletically, technically it’s beautiful, he has lived in big clubs whether it’s Chelsea or AC Milan so today he has this experience and this desire to want to play because he went through 2 big clubs where he did not win so once again if he manages to win in Marseille, he will find the light ” Jean-Charles De Bono – Source: Football Club Marseille (21/04/2022) Read also: OM sale: “Of course there are rumours…”
