Portugal already grants 33,000 more protected protections to Ukrainian citizens
A new one, released by the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), indicates that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Portugal has already granted “33,106 second protections to Ukrainian citizens and foreign citizens residing in that country”.
A total of 3,106 Russian protections were granted by Portugal to Ukrainians and foreign nationals residing in Ukraine since the start of the invasion of Ukraine exactly two months and one day ago. Of these, 22,208 were assigned to women and 10,898 to men.
The municipalities with the greatest number of protections to be considered Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra, Porto and Albufeira“, highlights the SEF in the statement sent to newsrooms.
“As for residence permit certificates under the protected security protection regime, containing social health user and tax identification numbers assigned by the respective entities, the SEF already reached 24,764“, he adds.
As for minors, these “represent 11,410 of the total of 33,106 designed major protections”. The SEF specifies that communicated to the Public Ministry “52 minors who showed up in the presence of someone other than their legal representative or legal representation, without current or current danger”and 15 to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) for not being “accompanied and/or in the presence of a person other than their legal representative, in current or contemporary danger”.
