Karim Adeyemi’s BVB change perfect? RB Salzburg denied
The official club announcements regarding the transfer of Karim Adeyemi to Borussia Dortmund will probably be a long time coming. At least that’s how the statements by Christoph Freund, who is in charge of sporting fortunes at RB Salzburg, should be understood.
“There is nothing to report yet, nothing fixed yet,” says the squad planner to Sky Sport Austria. “We’re in talks with Dortmund, they’re very interesting. Karim wouldn’t be averse either. We’ll see what the next few days and weeks bring.”
It is necessary to clarify the transfer fee that BVB has to pay for Adeyemi, who will remain in the city of Mozart until 2024. Sport1 reported last week that the transfer was expected to be completed.
The sports broadcaster is expected to be based on the amount to be paid at 38 million euros, which could increase by a further three million if certain conditions are met. Adeyemi is said to have a five-year contract with a guaranteed gross income of five million euros a year.
“Karim Adeyemi still has two years of contract and that’s why a fee is due. And there are simply negotiations and more talks about this fee,” Freund gives an insight into the status of negotiations. “It would be a great situation if he were to play with us in the Champions League for the next few months. But he can imagine taking the next step.”
