The announcement comes just days after Switzerland said it would drop all protocols from Monday, May 2. The Swiss ruling allows international travelers from all countries, including those from so-called “third countries” or countries located outside the EU Union or Schengen zones.
Greece’s new rules also come into effect on May 2, with Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris saying the country will no longer apply entry requirements for travellers.
Tourists are not required to present a vaccination card or test results upon arrival. according to Schengen Visa Info. It’s welcome news for the Greek tourism industry, let alone airlines flying to Athens, to welcome unvaccinated travelers into the country.
All other pre-pandemic rules apply, of course, as tourists still need a passport and/or visa.
