Almost three years after taking office, it is now fixed: Christian Ziege will no longer be coach of the next season FC Pinzgau Saalfelden be. The Pinzgau regional league team confirmed this via press release. The 50-year-old German will remain with the club as sports director. The search for a new coach is now in full swing.

With the end of the season: Goat clears the coach’s chair
While the current season is still in full swing, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden is already preparing for the new season away from the pitch. There is a natural change. As leaked out this morning, Christian Ziege will resign from his coaching position at the end of the season. The 50-year-old German took over the Pinzgauer in April 2019. The search for a successor is ongoing and should be completed positively in the next few weeks.
Ex-professional gets new job in Saalfelden
The 1996 European champion will remain the “face” of the club and will take on the role of sporting director from the summer. “I feel really comfortable in Saalfelden. That’s why I’m very happy that we have now created an ideal constellation for the future together. We want to build something sustainable and classic here in Pinzgau,” says Ziege. An essential component of his area of responsibility will be the implementation of a new sustainable game idea from youngsters to combat teams. In addition, Ziege should support the young talents on their way to the combat team and train their own trainers.
