Out in round one for youngster Rehberg
Tennis hope Max Rehberg has lost his first match on the professional tour. The player from Aschheim had to admit defeat to Miomir Kecmanovic 6:2, 6:3 on Monday.
The 18-year-old from Upper Bavaria lost the first round of the clay court tournament in Munich to the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic 2:6, 3:6. Especially in the second set, Rehberg kept up well against the Serbs, who were around 1,000 places better in the world rankings, but lost the decisive service game to 3: 4 due to a forehand error. Rehberg, who trains at the DTB Oberhaching base, received a wild card for the traditional event at the Iphitos facility.
Kecmanovi’s round of 16 opponent will be determined in the German duel between Philipp Kohlschreiber (Ausgburg) and Daniel Altmaier (Kempen). Instead, BR24 sports the party live in the stream.

Four other German players are in the main draw. A solvable task awaits the Olympic champion Alexander Zverev. The 25-year-old from Hamburg, who had a bye as the top seed in round one, will meet Danish youngster Holger Rune in the round of 16 on Wednesday. The 18-year-old, who is 70th in the world rankings and is considered one of the greatest young talents in tennis, beat Czech Jiri Lehecka 7-6 6-3 on Monday.
