Switzerland lifts all COVID-related travel restrictions on May 2nd
The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has lifted all entry restrictions it had imposed during the pandemic
From May 2nd, Switzerland, one of the most popular travel destinations for Indians, will welcome travelers from all over the world as it did before the pandemic. The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has lifted all entry restrictions it had imposed during the pandemic. The country would now be open to everyone, just like before the pandemic, only the general travel rules for entering the country apply.
Ritu Sharma, Deputy Director and Marketing Head, India, said: “Switzerland is high on the wish lists of avid travelers around the world who have been waiting for the last two years to visit the country without being burdened with paperwork . Now you can! We look forward to hosting Indian travelers from May 2nd and can’t wait for them to come and enjoy the wonder of Switzerland.”
Travelers who have been looking forward to visiting Switzerland have the option of booking direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi with Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). The airline resumed operations in India earlier this year after India and Switzerland signed an air bubble deal that allowed their national carriers to operate flights between the two countries.
