Health | Marseille: the trotters of the heart in the race for the AP-HM
Smiles were on all faces yesterday afternoon, including of course those of the children. In front of the racetrack control screens, you could see the list of prizes in play for these “heart trotters” in the colors of Marseille associations working within the Public Assistance-Hospitals of Marseille (AP-HM). Like Rire Médecins or Soleil bleu azur.
For a €3 entry ticket, regulars were treated to an equestrian, festive and charitable event. The proceeds from this sale will go to the pediatric services of La Timone hospital. It is a chain of solidarity where we need everyone’s investment, where every gesture is important and where associations can meet, deciphers Virginie Negri, general delegate of the Phoceo fund, which works to improve the reception of patients and their families within the hospital. This is an opportunity for us to highlight associations that are not talked about enough. We are lucky that the Marseille racecourses welcome us by providing a place and devoting a lot of energy to it.“.
In the entrance to the Marseille-Vivaux racecourse, the representatives of these same associations were there to present their projects. Some children have the same right to board the vehicles that normally follow the races. “One of our goals is to raise 25,000€ to finance armchairs that turn into beds for families”, explains Serge Tardy, president of the equestrian society of Marseille racecourses.
The next operation will take place in May on the site of the Borély racecourse. The benefits will be reversed for the benefit of caregivers.
