Spring sounds the return of the event Festive plant. Organized by the Chambers of Agriculture of Normandythis 2022 edition marks the return to normal of this event which, like many others, had to deal with the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Two complicated years that did not prevent horticultural businesses from flourishing, quite the contrary. They are even becoming more demanding, ”say the organizers.
22 professionals mobilized
That’s good, horticultural plants provide answers to the problems of pollution and urban planning posed by climate change.
Nurseries and horticulturists have adapted their ranges and are ready to help you plant more and better.
To achieve this, 22 Norman nurseries and horticulturists are mobilizing and invite you to discover their greenhouses and production nurseries. The open days opened by these producers allow them to ensure the promotion of their businesses, but also to share their know-how by multiplying the exchanges on the benefits of plants.
How to preserve water?
On April 24 and 25, this will be the case in particular for the greenhouses Garden Colors from Clinchamps sur Orneand Genetais Nurseries in Saint Contest, near Caen. Their teams of professionals will particularly highlight the preservation of water.
Their know-how will be invaluable to you in learning “how to mulch to save water, to water without wasting, or to choose plants that save water”. You will also be invited to visit the greenhouses in full spring production, which are full of plants ready to join your garden.
On April 23 and 24, at the Couleurs Jardin greenhouses, in Clinchamps-sur-Orne, and at the Pépinières Genettais, in Saint-Contest. Tel: 02 31 44 58 55. Free admission. More information on normandie.chambres-agriculture.fr.
