From September 2022, the public channel France 3 will be able to film certain trials so that they are TV reruns.
This novelty is completely new in France since 1954. It is a desire defended for a long time by the Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti.
And according to the first information revealed by the chancellery, the court of Marseille could be at the heart of this device.
First audiences filmed in Aix or Marseille
Indeed, the minister’s entourage let it be known at AFP that the first filming will take place in the spring of 2023 “within the jurisdiction of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal”.
However, the judicial court of Marseilles is precisely under the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Aix-en-Provence. Here’s why city audiences needed to be among the first to land on your small screens.
Please note, this does not mean that all Marseille trials, from small drug trafficking cases to organized crime, will be broadcast on the public service.
Indeed, the Chancellery specifies that each recording must first be the subject of a request to the court concerned.
