City of Salzburg – Finally Salzburg cycling spring again
THE cycling event in the city is back. After cancellations in the last two years due to the pandemic, the Salzburg Radfrühling can take place again on Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd. This time at Domplatz and Residenzplatz.
Mayor Harald Preuner: “The cycling spring is a fixed point in the annual calendar of events and gives an incentive to switch to cycling, especially at the beginning of the warmer season. Our 190 km cycle path network offers many opportunities for individual leisure activities. The program this year is again very varied and varied. I am happy that it can be held again this year and cordially invite all those interested in cycling to be part of this cycling festival.”
Program for all ages:
Austria’s largest mobile pump track invites young and old to try it out. At the trial show by cycling pros Kilian and Kevin Maderegger, visitors can marvel at the technical sophistication on the BMX and put their skills to the test during the breaks. A skill course for the little ones, supervised by the AUVA, rounds off the family-friendly program. Whether it’s a cargo bike, downhill bike or the latest e-bike – bicycle dealers in Salzburg and the surrounding area invite you to test them and offer a wide selection of different bicycle brands.
Crowd puller AK bike exchange:
The wheel exchange of the Salzburg Chamber of Labor is and remains a fixed point. Over 1700 bikes are looking for new owners over the two days of the festival. “After a two-year Corona break, we are all the happier that the Salzburg bike spring can finally take place again with our AK bike exchange. In times of rising prices, we offer Salzburg families an opportunity to save, well-maintained bicycles of all kinds can be purchased at low prices,” says AK President Peter Eder.
Evergreen bike auction
and thrills for the bidders: the bike auction entertainment of the municipal lost and found office in cooperation with the Dorotheum. 50 bikes of different quality can be auctioned. Of course, physical well-being is also taken care of. The surrounding restaurateurs provide visitors with food and drink, while on Saturday a cargo bike band will ensure a good atmosphere in the old town.
It starts at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. It ends at 6 p.m. on two days.
