San Marino: Friday the Green Festival celebrates “Earth Day”
On Friday 22 April, on the occasion of World Earth Day, AGRISERVIZI97 celebrates its 25 years of activity with an afternoon of initiatives inspired by sustainability. The day is part of the calendar of events of the San Marino Green Festival 2022.
Known throughout the world as Earth Day, it is the green event that manages to involve the largest number of people around the planet. In fact, it is estimated that around one billion people mobilize every year around the spring equinox.
The meeting will start on Friday at 17.00 at Podere Lesignano in San Marino, with a round table in which 5 of the most “visionary” entrepreneurs of the green scenario of the area and beyond will sit: Giovanni Battista Girolomoni son of Gino Girolomoni , who 50 years ago created an extraordinary agro-political-social project giving life to the Alce Nero cooperative, Fabio Roggiolani co-founder with Jacopo Fo of Ecofuturo Festival and Ecquologia.com, Hubert Bosch initiator with his wife Lucilla of the Remedia factory, Emma Di Filippo of the Di Filippo Cannara winery of the same name in the Perugia area and, finally, Stefano Valentini of AGRISERVIZI97 and owner of Podere Lesignano. To harmonize the meeting will be Gabriele Geminiani patron of the San Marino Green Festival now in its fourth edition (24 and 25 June) and which this year will split into the Montefeltro Green Festival, scheduled for 24 and 25 September.
The protagonists of the green table are people who have spent themselves for the good of the earth and their communities. They were ahead of their time, they believed, rode and concretely translated their utopias, with an advance that made them, at the time, authentic extraterrestrials. Loving connoisseurs of nature and its biodiversity, they put themselves at the service of nature itself, they took care of it, even before obtaining fruits and economic sustenance. Far from the mere criteria of exploitation of intensive cultivation, of those who think only of optimizing profits, impoverishing and distorting the ecosystem of the subsoil and of work.
In this sense Podere Lesignano is a company that has always believed in the principles of agroecology and with the San Marino Green Festival has recently given life to Ortiperlapace, a project that carries forward the culture of peace and sustainability in different forms. On March 27, he carried out his first action, namely the planting of a persimmon descendant of the persimmon that survived the atomic bomb in Nagasaki within the international circuit of the Kaki Tree Project.
“The world depends on nature, yet it continues to destroy it. World Earth Day cannot continue to be an end in itself, it cannot remain just an annual celebration, one of many, but a daily commitment and a constant warning for the system to change“, Says Stefano Valentini in these days of fervent preparations together with Gabriele Geminiani, who thus conclude”They must dedicate a ministry to the earth and at the head there must be people who come from the earth, and the “visionaries” are enough for the most authoritative people and indicate the leadership of such institutes“.
At the meeting on Friday there will be a convivial moment with a toast and a tasting by the organic producers of San Marino and Montefeltro.
