The Shakespearean walk is a real widespread, itinerant and shared theater / museum. A walk with 37 stations that tells all the works of the Bard, citing them one by one. By involving the city in an active role: the shops become theatrical stages of the journey. A window sticker, with a verse in Italian and English, on the window of the participating shops, identifies one by one all the 37 works written by the Bard.
The theatrical-museum itinerary is highlighted by posters with a summary map of the places of the Shakespeare Walk. The shops in the historic center thus become real exhibition points; new places of culture for enthusiasts, onlookers and tourists. The actors will guide you and interpret the 37 works by declaiming a sentence in Italian and Shakespearean English. Conceived in 2016 by the artistic director of Shakespeare Week, Solimano Pontarollo, to pay homage to the Bard in the 400th anniversary of his birth, developed by Beatrice Zuin, author and founder of Casa Shakespeare, the Shakespeare Walk returns to reaffirm the leading role of Verona, the Shakespearean city.
The is part of the new edition of the Italian SHAKESPEARE WEEK, which in Verona commemorates the birth and death of the Bardo (23 April 1564, 23 April 1616), with events and initiatives in various places in the city and at the Satiro Off Theater.
