Krakow with the Warsaw “sausage” – tram 13N
Krakow is expanding its fleet of public transport vehicles. In the station of the year, MPK bought a tram 13N, called a sausage, which is inseparably associated with Warsaw. – Today it is difficult to decide about its purpose – says Marek Gancarczyk, press spokesman for MPK Kraków.
In the wagon for the year, MPK Kraków purchased the No. 400, operated from 1967 to 2017. – The wagon was bought from a private person. There were also other carriages in Krakow owned by MPK: LH-1076 from Wrocław), KSW-126 (from Graz), K-437 (from Warsaw), and Ring-272 (from Gdańsk) after Kraków. The Warsaw 13N wagon can be a good complement to your collection. The wagon is one of the links of Polish public transport buses operating as the popular name of the N and 105N trams – as well as Marek Gancarczyk, the history of MPK Kraków press vehicles.
According to MPK, it is complete, but requires training and repair. For now, if and when it will take place – votes that may be given as a consignor for 102N / 102Na wagons. – You can not rule it out difficult with frequent, because today we decide about its destiny. We have that we have other vehicles in our bases and this wagon will make the future possible from a future journey through the past – add the spokesman.
The collection of MPK in Krakow currently consists of over 70 vehicles. 30 of them are active workshops that you can meet, among others on the Krakow Museum Line. – Several old wagons, including those that were manufactured over 100 years ago, are still awaiting renovation – says Gancarczyk.
