Algarvian Celina Fernandes elected Miss Photogenic and Miss Social Beauty in the Miss Queen Portugal final
Celina Fernandes, from Vila Real de Santo António and a student in Faro, was elected Miss Fotogenia and Miss Social Beauty, in the Miss Queen Portugal National Final, and ranked in the Top 10.
Maria Rosado was elected Miss Queen Portugal and will be the Portuguese representative in the biggest beauty contest in the world – Miss Earth.
After being elected Miss Ribatejo 2021 in the District selection stage of the National Beauty Contest (CNB Portugal), the young woman from Ourém prepared for a few months during the Miss Queen Portugal 2021 National Final, which took place between 7 and 10 April in Castro Daire – Viseu.
In this delayed edition (due to the pandemic of the biggest Miss contest in Portugal), 45 final groups from all districts of Mainland Portugal, Azores, Madeira and the Portuguese Community of France participated.
As 45 candidates were received by the municipal executive, in a welcoming ceremony and had the opportunity to participate in several, exploring the potential of the Municipality of Castro Daire.
The event culminated in the Final Galas of each of the categories, held on April 9 and 10, in which Miss Teen Portugal 2021 – Raquel Libório (Miss Teen Leiria 2021), Miss Queen Portugal 2021 – Maria Rosado (Miss Ribatejo 2021) and Mrs Portugal 2021 – Cristiana Giroto (Mrs Viseu 2021). The winners will represent Portugal in international competitions in the respective categories.
Manuel Vitorino, vice-president of the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, was present at the Miss Queen Portugal Final Gala, a municipality that will host the next final of the contest, which in 2022 celebrates its 10th anniversary.
About Miss Queen Portugal
After the extinction of the former Miss Portugal, which ceased to perform in 2001, Miss Queen Portugal assumes since 2012, the choice of the Most Influential Woman, under the motto “Beauty for Good”.
The competition environment is promoted by SOLARIS – Associação Nacional DASS, a non-profit organization whose main objective is to raise awareness, inform and involve the population in the emerging problems of society and health.
Miss Queen Portugal 2022 is the 10th edition of the contest, which has already taken place in Caminha, Ovar, Casino Estoril (Cascais), Viana do Castelo, Oliveira do Hospital, Braga and Castro Daire. the Districts, but also in the Azores and Madeira Archipelagos, as well as in the Portuguese Communities of Germany, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, whose representatives also dispute the various coronations of the Grand Final.
Miss Queen Portugal elects the Portuguese representative for Miss Earth, which is one of the three greatest beauty rights in the world.
This contest cooperates with 25 other international organizations still with this organization, several opportunities for young Portuguese and Portuguese descendants. Miss Queen Portugal has also become a world reference.
Since 2020, Miss Queen Portugal has been part of a National Beauty Contest brand – CNB Portugal and has held the Miss Teen Portugal, Mrs Portugal and Top Model Portugal contests, all registered brands.
