Director Maria Iovine wins the Valpharma Award for Cinema with the documentary Body to Body

The recognition of the industry dedicated to young cinema, established in memory of the entrepreneur Roberto Valducci, for two years has been part of the offer of contents of the Rimini Film Festival La Settima Arte – Cinema e Industria, opening up a wide and serious reflection on the recognition of the competence and professionalism of women in the world of work. The feature film Body to Body, with which Maria Iovine made her debut this year the camera behind the camera, tackles the themes of disability, empowerment and unconventional beauty, schemes through the story of Veronica Yoko Plebani, 25-year-old triathlete, bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, struck at just 15 years of age by bacterial meningitis that gave her back a body marked forever.
