Ceremony for newly appointed and post-doctoral professors – University of Innsbruck
After the ceremony had to be canceled for the past two years due to corona, Rector Tilmann Märk welcomed the newly appointed professors in two consecutive ceremonies last Thursday and congratulated the newly habilitated scientists.
In two consecutive ceremonies last Thursday, the new professors who had come to the university were presented and at the same time those colleagues who completed or have completed their habilitations in the past year were honored. Associate professors were appointed.
After this traditional ceremony had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to corona, the newly appointed professors and those who had completed their habilitation in 2020/21 and 2021/22 were welcomed and honored together. “Despite difficult circumstances in the two and a half years, most of the significant performance indicators are pointing upwards, both in teaching and in research: For example, there was an increase in the number of publications, in the number of studies actively conducted and also in recruitment third-party funds. Some of those present today have already actively contributed to these great developments or will do so in the future in order to maintain and further promote the good position of the University of Innsbruck,” said Rector Tilmann Märk.
Overall, the University of Innsbruck welcomed 24 newly appointed professors and four associated professors at both ceremonies and congratulated ten newly qualified professors.
