Neuried – In the on-site everyone will find their place – district of Munich
Small escapes are known to make everyday life more entertaining. In the local café in Neuried, this motto seems to be followed by some on a Thursday morning. Two friends meet for an extended breakfast with all kinds of colorful fruit on their plates, a woman has spread out work materials on her table and orders an omelette, an elderly couple read the newspaper and order the second coffee. Time seems to have stood still for a brief moment, there is a break here, everyone finds their place here.
The on-site is a café and vegetarian restaurant in one. It also includes a bakery, plus two bakery branches in Gauting and Martinsried. It is the only breakfast café in the Würmtal and is family-run. In addition to all the imaginative breakfast combinations, the ingenious muesli selection that the boss, Martina Hrasky, creates herself is special in the on-site. They are sold to take away in the bakery and are in great demand, for example the vegan chia muesli with yoghurt and raspberry puree (on the menu: 6.10 euros) or the Bircher muesli with nuts and mango puree (6.10 euros). Anyone who has thought of porridge as soggy porridge will find that the on-site version with almonds, apples, raisins and honey (6.80 euros) has nothing to do with it.
The bread roll breakfasts make up the main part of the breakfast menu and if you are not a vegetarian, you will not miss anything. There are twelve breakfasts to choose from, from “mini” – rolls with jam (2.90 euros) – to “on site enjoyment” with a selection of rolls, croissants, cheese platter, egg, fruit salad, Bircher muesli, avocado cream cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice as well as jam ( 15.90 euros). In between, the menu also includes a “Swiss mountain hut breakfast” with scrambled eggs on farmer’s bread, a vegan, berry-dominated breakfast or, new on the menu, G’Mias bread: hearty farmer’s bread with garlic oil and vegetables fried in a wok (11.80 euros ). You can also put together your own breakfast. The coffee comes from the Dinzler roastery on the Irschenberg.
Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays and until 1:30 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. There is always a spot of sunshine, on the quiet terrace at the back or on the busy street in front.
