Master Salzburg is building a team for next season
Two days after the last final game of the win2day ICE Hockey League, champion Red Bull Salzburg set the first personnel course for the coming season. As the club announced in a broadcast on Wednesday, captain Thomas Raffl, Atte Tolvanen, Lukas Schreier and Tim Harnisch Salzburg will remain.
The coaching team with head coach Matt McIlvane, assistant coaches Daniel Petersson and Ben Cooper and goalie coach Markus Kerschbaumer will also continue their work.
Dominique Heinrich, Philipp Wimmer, Florian Baltram, Mario Huber, Paul Huber, Ty Loney, Oskar Maier, Benjamin Nissner, Aljaz Predan, Peter Schneider, Lucas Thaler, Ali Wukovits and Luca Auer have an existing contract with the Austrian champions. This means that there are currently 17 players in the “Red Bulls” squad.
Lebler returns to Linz
Among others, you have to part with Florian Bugl, Kilian Zündel, Jakub Borzecki and Danjo Leonhardt, who want to devote themselves to new tasks in the future. Layne Viveiros, who has been struggling with injury problems throughout the season, will also leave the Red Bulls.
Brian Lebler, who moved to Salzburg from Black Wings Linz for the play-offs, will return to Linz and fulfill his contract there. Talks are still ongoing with all other players, it said.
