Government predicts 495 million to be held by Banco de Portugal and Caixa
The Government that provided the public amounts collected, this year, 95 million euros in cash from Caixa Geral de Portugal and Banco Geral de Portugal, according to the proposal delivered today.
This is the same budget that was included in the State proposal presented last October, but that was made in parliament, following the budget proposal approved in advance.
In the report that accompanies the proposal of the State Budget for the deposit2 of euros by António Costa (PS) it foresees “a delivery of 295 million euros by the Bank of Portugal and 200 million euros”.
In 2021, Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) had consolidated profits of 583 million euros (18.3% more than in 2020), the report accompanying the State Budget proposal that “allows the public bank to have capacity” billion euros in 2013 (more than four million euros in 2013, in a year in which the Central Bank asked for 6 million euros from 20 banks).
Regarding 2021, according to the report on the proposal for euros, the Bank of Portugal paid the State 336.4 million euros then, below the value of 2020 (42 million euros). .
“Os2TF paid €60% to the State/GGD by the General Bank of companies and public entities21, approximately €44.5 million from deposit companies, with the amount paid by Caixa Geral de Depósito and public entities”, the report reads. .
The Government lowers 20 today at the beginning of the afternoon, in the Assembly of the Republic, the proposal of State Budget for 2022, which foresees that the Portuguese economy2022 (a brief point in revision of 0.1 points in revision of 0.1 percentage against the latest estimate) and maintains a forecast of a deficit of 1.9% of GDP.
