French swimming champions, they are the pride of their college in Caen

All seven licensees“Caen nautical agreement”they shone in the basin of the 75th national swimming championships elite, end of March 2022 in Paris. Both individually and as a team. On the occasion of this great Ugsel meeting, organized by the Educational Sports Federation of Catholic Education, they climbed the podium ten times, for four gold medals, including one for the team.
Individually, Margot Frémont reached the top step (Benjamin girl, 100m freestyle), as did Célian Henaut (Minime boy): 100m freestyle and 200m medley.
From 6:30 a.m. in the water
These seven middle school students benefit from adapted timetables in their establishment in order to be able to train as well as possible, while fulfilling their studies. They are regularly in the water, in training, from 6:30 in the morning. “The 4and and 3and about 14 hours in the pool per week, compared to 11 hours for the 6and-5and“, explains Margot.
Their performances did not go unnoticed in their college. “We can only congratulate them, because they conduct their studies and their training brilliantly, which requires a lot of energy”, confides Bertrand Lahaye, director of the Saint-Joseph institution which welcomes 1,404 students from kindergarten to college. His establishment has been offering flexible hours to swimmers since 2015. “And this is the first time that we have been French team champions! »
