Sweden: Edward af Sillén and Linnea Henriksson announced as Eurovision 2022 commentators
Edward af Sillén and Linnea Henriksson will comment on Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Edward af Sillén has revealed via Twitter that he will once again return to the comment booth for this year’s competition, this time with Linnea Henriksson. Linnea is a singer and songwriter, who has participated as a co-host for Melodifestivalen 2020.
Edward is known for his directing and screenwriting. He also wrote the Eurovision 2016 interval song “Love, Love, Peace, Peace”, and has given comments for Sweden at the competition several times.

Representing Sweden at this year’s competition in Turin is Cornelia Jakobs, who was chosen after she won the Melodifestivalen last month.
Who is Cornelia Jakobs?
Anna Cornelia Jakobsdotter Samuelsson, also known as Cornelia Jakobs, was born on March 9, 1992 in Stockholm, Sweden. The singer made her music debut in 2008 when she auditioned for Swedish Idol. Her career took off a few years later when she joined Love Generation. The girl group participated in the Melodifestivalen 2011 and 2012, with the 2011 contribution “Dance Alone” which ended up on the Swedish lists.
Cornelia has written and composed a number of songs, including Efraim Leos Melodifestivalen 2021 song “Best of Me”. A year earlier, she composed and performed “Weight of The World”, the soundtrack to the HBO series Björnstad.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has continued to be one of the competition’s most successful countries. The country has won the competition six times, the most recent was 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the competition in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing in the final in 2010, Sweden has finished third twice and won the competition twice, only in 2013 did the country end up outside the top 10 in the final.
