40 years of Primocanale, here is the “Genova 60” exhibition at Palazzo Reale – Primocanale.it
The great transformation of Genoa in the sixties of the twentieth century: Primocanale is pleased to be able to celebrate another piece of the city’s history, in the year of its 40 years. It was in the 1960s that the story of Primocanale began and it was precisely “Genova 60”, the fresco exhibition at Palazzo Reale, which reflects the vocation of recounting and preserving the memory of the most important events in the city.
The exhibition has run from signs to Palazzo Reale, curated by Alessandra Guerrini and Luca Leoncini, the objective of which is to rip through architecture, art, design and photography the fervor of the economic boom, the languages of visual art, the industrialization. From April 14th to July 31st it will be possible to make this journey into the past inside the Teatro del Falcone.
But Primocanale, the main sponsor of this exhibition, will follow live the inauguration scheduled for Wednesday at 18:30.
From the shots of the great Genoese photographers such as Lisetta Carmi and Giorgio Bergami to architectural drawings, design furnishings, advertising graphics, industrial objects, paintings and sculptures by top-level artists from Lucio Fontana to Andy Warhol, from Mimmo Rotella to Vico Magistretti, from Gio Ponti to Franco Albini, from Angelo Mangiarotti to Eugenio Carmi: the Genoese will rediscover a piece of themselves, while tourists will be able to get to know the ingenuity of the Genoese who have still done bigger than the city.
