Ireland’s women’s team plays against Sweden this week in a World Cup qualifier, here are all the details
VERA PAUW’s Irish team takes on the table tops Sweden in a big World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
Sweden is home and dry and will get to the World Cup, but for Ireland a win would be huge and give a huge chance for the Irish team to get to Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
Girls in Green is second with Finland on seven points, but has played one game less than them.
Sweden beat Ireland already in October thanks to an own goal by Louis Quinn.
According to the Swedish FA, 12,000 tickets have been sold out for the match.
